During our recent stay at Kiloran on the Isle of Skye, my family and I were pleasantly surprised by the family-friendly amenities and activities offered by the hosts, Neil and his wife. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted warmly and shown to our cozy "mother-in-law" suite, which was well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights of our trip was the access to the loch behind the house, where we were able to take our kayaks out for some evening paddling. We were treated to homemade cakes every day, which were a delightful touch that my family truly appreciated. In terms of family-friendly activities, we were thrilled to discover a seal colony at the end of the road, which provided us with a unique opportunity to observe these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat. the hosts were also helpful in providing us with suggestions for top sites to visit on the island, as well as lesser-known hidden gems that made our stay even more memorable. Overall, Kiloran proved to be the perfect base for our family adventure on the Isle of Skye. the comfortable accommodations, friendly hosts, and convenient location near Portree and Trotternish made our stay truly enjoyable. We would highly recommend Kiloran to families looking for a peaceful and welcoming retreat on this beautiful island.
